Job Summary
Process customer orders through the Point of Sale system, transact sales, and receive orders while maintaining a stocked, organized, and clean store environment. Provide excellent customer service in the store and on the phone, and open and close the store as management directs using prescribed policies. Safeguard monies and merchandise while performing basic arithmetic and lifting up to 25 lbs. This part-time role at the Northern Virginia Scout Shop offers up to 25 hours per week with an hourly pay rate of $15.00, Monday through Sunday, and prefers candidates with retail sales experience and knowledge of the Scouting program.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend at waist, twist, kneel, squat, and climb
- Must be 16 years or older
- Good communication and customer service skills (speaking, listening, and writing)
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Retail sales experience
- Knowledge of Scouting program
