Job Summary
Open and close the store daily, ensuring safety protocols are followed and the site is secured. Conduct cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Process sales transactions using point-of-sale systems, handling cash, credit, and donation requests. Lead and coordinate volunteers, providing clear instructions to ensure effective collaboration. Educate guests about the organization's mission, address concerns professionally, and assist with receiving, organizing, and restocking inventory. Implement visually appealing displays and process donations by cleaning, testing functionality, and pricing items. Work in a warehouse environment with limited climate controls, capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for prolonged periods.
Required Qualifications
- High School or equivalent education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for prolonged duration, walk, climb, bend and squat
- Comfortable standing, walking, and bending for extended periods
- Ability to bend, stoop, or kneel repeatedly as part of job duties
- Ability to withstand exposure to heat, cold, rain, or other elements
- Ability to reach above shoulder heights or below the waist or lift as required to file documents, store materials, or move materials
- Ability to withstand intermittent moderate noise levels
