Job Summary
Greet customers, build relationships by listening to their needs, and assist in product selection through education on cannabis varieties and their effects. Apply effective selling techniques to build baskets while verifying proper documentation and ID for every transaction. Perform accurate cash handling in the Point of Sale system, label and package orders, and maintain records of sales, deliveries, and returns in accordance with state regulations. Conduct routine inventory counts, organize product displays, and ensure the store remains clean and compliant with safety measures. Escalate any employee or customer issues to management as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience in customer service; retail or hospitality experience preferred
- Flexibility to work shifts that may include opening, closing, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to engage with customers
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and product-related information in a professional consultative manner
- Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance)
- Must be 21 years of age or older to apply
- Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for current or future sponsorship at any time
