Job Summary
Process sales on the point-of-sale system and maintain cash drawer accuracy while greeting guests with a friendly, professional demeanor. Assist customers with purchasing decisions, equipment fittings, and skate sharpening or repairs. Keep the pro-shop merchandised and ensure all retail areas remain clean and organized. Apply names and numbers to jerseys using a heat press. Complete additional projects, tasks, and events as assigned. This part-time, non-exempt role at War Memorial in Fort Lauderdale requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays to support the Florida Panthers' retail operations.
Required Qualifications
- Retail experience
- Must be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with hockey and figure skating equipment fittings, repairs, and sharpening
- Familiarity with operating a point-of-sale system
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with a high degree of enthusiasm and ability to work well under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
