Job Summary
Retail Sales Associate (Footwear) at DICK’S Sporting Goods focused on helping customers find the right footwear, greeting customers proactively, understanding needs, and facilitating an exceptional shopping experience. Responsibilities include maintaining merchandising and floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation and replenishment, promoting programs (customer loyalty, warranty sales, private label card enrollment), adhering to safety and loss-prevention policies, maintaining confidentiality of company information, supporting the store team, and performing other tasks as assigned. Key skills include customer service, product knowledge, teamwork, accountability, decision-making, and the ability to stand and lift up to 35 lbs while navigating store duties.
Required Qualifications
- Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
- Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
- Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
