Job Summary
Retail Sales Associate Footwear at DICK’S Sporting Goods responsible for greeting customers, understanding their needs, and supporting their shopping experience with in-depth product knowledge and adherence to merchandising standards. Responsibilities include following floor sets, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation and replenishment, promoting programs (customer loyalty, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment), adhering to safety and loss prevention policies, maintaining confidentiality, fostering an inclusive store environment, supporting team collaboration, and performing other tasks as assigned by management. Key skills include customer service, product knowledge, teamwork, merchandising, communication, and the ability to stand and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 15 to 35 lbs. repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
- Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
- Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
