Job Summary
Conduct front-end sales and cashier functions, including scanning merchandise, weighing products, and verifying cart contents. Manage sales floor stocking in Meat/Frozen, Produce/Dairy, and Dry Goods departments by replenishing freight, rotating products using FIFO, and maintaining neat shelves. Provide customer service by assisting shoppers with product locations and ensuring a safe, clean environment for staff and guests. Rotate through assigned departments as needed and support store events like Vendor Fairs and inventory processes. Work flexible schedules of 3 to 4 days, 20 to 30 hours weekly, including weekends and holidays, with potential overtime compensation.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6-12 months of retail cashier and/or stocking experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
- Must be able to stand continuously
- Must be able to walk continuously
- Must be able to lift 1-10 lbs continuously
- Must be able to lift 11-20 lbs continuously
- Must be able to lift 21-50 lbs continuously

- Must be able to perform the following physical activities for the described length of time
- Must be able to perform duties as receipt checker; verifying cart content vs. purchases, as customers leave the store
- Must be able to perform store opening and/or closing functions at the front end based on assigned shift
- Must be able to ensure all merchandise is properly labeled
- Must be able to assist in receiving inventory shipments and maintaining and stocking shelves in a neat and orderly fashion while also ensuring proper rotation and product quality audits
- Must be able to report any low stock levels to store management
- Must be able to replenish the sales floor daily by down-stocking freight from top stock
- Must be able to ensure that the oldest product is brought down first and stocked in accordance with FIFO
- Must be able to utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel, and proprietary software as needed
- Must be able to assist with price changes as directed by the Pricing Lead and Store Management
- Must be able to participate in the inventory and cycle count process as needed
- Must be able to ensure the cleanliness of the sales floor, front end, and restrooms
- Must be able to ensure the cleanliness of the parking lot and store entry area
- Must be able to gather carts from the parking lot and cart corrals and bring them back to the designated area
- Must be able to ensure all are clean and operable
- Must be able to interact with employees at all levels of responsibility throughout the company
- Must be able to interact with customers and other service and product providers
- Must be able to deliver exceptional customer service
