Job Summary
Greet customers daily and interact in person or by phone to facilitate sales, loans, and extensions on pawn items like jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. Process transactions while maintaining a friendly, courteous environment and perform opening and closing store duties. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations. This role offers a structured career path starting with a 5-week paid training program, with opportunities to earn raises, promotions to Lead Pawnbroker, and advancement to Assistant Manager. Competitive pay ranges from $14.00 to $15.00 per hour based on experience, alongside uncapped bonus potential, free health insurance, and a 401(k) match. Located at 1737 Texoma Parkway in Sherman, Texas.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Customer service, cashier, or retail experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask
- Able to pass a criminal background check and drug test (performed after a conditional offer)
- Self-motivated with a positive and outgoing personality and a strong work ethic
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms or electronics, a plus
