Job Summary
Greet customers in person and on the phone, processing sales, loans, and extensions while negotiating mutually satisfying agreements on pawn items like jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. Provide a friendly, courteous, and respectful environment that sets the brand apart from the competition. Perform opening and closing store duties while adhering to all company policies and regulations. Maintain a positive, outgoing personality and strong work ethic to build relationships and support the team. Complete a 5-week paid training program to advance to Pawnbroker and pursue further career growth within EZCORP's diverse family of pawn brands.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Customer service, cashier, or retail experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask
- Able to pass a criminal background check and drug test (performed after a conditional offer)
- Self-motivated with a positive and outgoing personality and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms or electronics, a plus
- Sales background, a plus
- Bilingual, a plus
