Job Summary
Greet customers daily, process sales, loans, and extensions, and facilitate mutually satisfying agreements on pawn items like jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. Provide excellent in-person and phone customer service while performing opening and closing store duties. Maintain a friendly, courteous environment that sets the brand apart. This role offers a 5-week paid training program with a $.50 raise and promotion to Pawnbroker upon completion. Additional growth includes the Pawnbroker Certification Program, Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Leader) position, and Assistant Manager track. Competitive pay ranges from $15 to $16 per hour based on experience, with monthly uncapped bonus potential and free employee-only health insurance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Customer service, cashier, or retail experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask
- Able to pass a criminal background check and drug test (performed after a conditional offer)
- Self-motivated with a positive and outgoing personality and a strong work ethic
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms or electronics, a plus
- Sales background, a plus
- Bilingual, a plus
