Job Summary
Retail Sales Associate/Cashier at Dick's Sporting Goods responsible for delivering excellent customer experiences, greeting customers, understanding their needs, processing sales transactions and returns, promoting loyalty, warranty, and credit card enrollment programs, adhering to safety and loss prevention policies, maintaining confidentiality, creating an inclusive store environment, supporting the team across the store, and performing other tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 15 to 35 lbs. occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
- Ability to work extended periods of time standing or walking (up to 4 hours).
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours).
- Greet customers and proactively understand their needs; process sales transactions and returns; promote company programs; adhere to safety and loss prevention policies; maintain confidentiality; support a inclusive store environment; perform other tasks as assigned by management.
