Job Summary
Greet every customer with a warm, friendly service and utilize suggestive selling to promote merchandise programs. Scan all items, process payments including fuel dispensing instructions, and adhere to strict cash handling and age-verification regulations. Replenish products, maintain in-stock conditions, and complete all store housekeeping functions such as cleaning and dusting. Perform specific tasks assigned by the Store Manager while following posted schedules, weekends, and holidays. Maintain a neat appearance, work in a safe manner, and pass background checks. This role supports the Assawoman Ale Shoppe's profitability through efficient shift operations and exceptional customer service.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to explain how to dispense fuel into a vehicle and/or approved container
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to add and subtract in order to make change, complete shift reports, and account for a variety of products during vendor check-in
- Displays outstanding work ethics at all times in the areas of honesty, efficiency, professionalism and dependability
- Displays punctuality and a neat appearance
- Must be able to work all shifts as requested
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Must pass the background check and drug free workplace requirements
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform tasks in all areas of the store which may include exposure to the cold while working in the cooler/freezer and while maintaining the parking lot and exterior of the store's perimeter
