Job Summary
Retail Sales Associate role at DICK’S Sporting Goods focusing on creating an exceptional shopping experience. Responsibilities include greeting and proactively assisting customers, understanding their needs, upholding merchandising and presentation standards (floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation and replenishment), promoting programs (loyalty participation, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment), following safety and loss-prevention procedures, maintaining confidentiality, fostering an inclusive store environment, supporting the team across the store, and performing additional tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
- Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
- Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
