Job Summary
Retail Sales Associate at Dick's Sporting Goods responsible for greeting customers, proactively understanding needs, and supporting their shopping experience through in-depth product knowledge, brand standards, and floor-set execution. Responsibilities include maintaining merchandising and presentation standards, promoting company programs (loyalty participation, warranty sales, credit card enrollment), adhering to safety and loss-prevention procedures, creating an inclusive store environment, taking an all-hands-on-deck approach to team support, and performing additional tasks as assigned by management. Key skills include customer-focused service, product knowledge, upselling programs, cash handling, POS operation, teamwork, and adherence to policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
- Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
- Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
