Job Summary
Retail Sales Associate at Dick's Sporting Goods is responsible for greeting customers, proactively understanding their needs, and delivering an exceptional shopping experience. The role emphasizes in-depth product knowledge, adherence to merchandising and presentation standards, promotion of company programs (loyalty, warranties, private label card), and following safety and loss-prevention procedures. The teammate environment focuses on inclusivity, collaboration, and supporting team members while executing assigned store tasks and adjustments as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
- Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
- Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
