Job Summary
Retail Sales Associate at DICK’S Sporting Goods responsible for creating an exceptional shopping experience through proactive customer engagement, in-depth product knowledge, and adherence to merchandising and safety standards. Responsibilities include greeting customers, understanding needs, supporting purchases (loyalty programs, warranty sales, credit card enrollment), maintaining floor sets and inventory presentation, following safety and loss-prevention procedures, fostering an inclusive store environment, and collaborating with teammates to support store operations.
Required Qualifications
- Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour)
- Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking
- Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously)
Desired Qualifications
