Job Summary
Retail Sales Associate at Dick's Sporting Goods: greet customers, understand their needs, and assist with purchases while maintaining merchandising standards such as floor sets and signage. Promote store programs including loyalty, warranty sales, and private-label credit card enrollment. Adhere to safety, loss-prevention policies, and standard operating procedures; create an inclusive, welcoming store environment; support the team across the store and perform other tasks as assigned. Strong product knowledge, customer focus, collaboration, and trustworthy service are valued traits.
Required Qualifications
- Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 15 to 35 lbs repetitively (up to 25 times per hour)
- Ability to work extended periods standing or walking (up to 4 hours)
- Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with ladder or lifting device
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods (up to 2 hours)
