Job Summary
Proactively engage with customers, make helpful product recommendations, and deliver a friendly, knowledgeable shopping experience. Maintain excellent store standards through merchandising, cleanliness, and stock replenishment while operating tills accurately. Support deliveries, stockroom organization, and product availability, ensuring the store remains safe and welcoming. If assigned as a Keyholder, open and close the store securely, complete end-of-day cashing procedures, and take responsibility for store operations when management is absent. Follow health and safety, loss prevention, and operational procedures while collaborating with the team to meet targets. This 8-hour contract role offers an enhanced rate for Keyholder duties and includes access to training, discounts, and family-friendly leave.
Required Qualifications
- If you're aged 18 or over
- You're willing and able to proactively approach customers
- You're willing and able to start friendly conversations
- You're willing and able to understand what customers are looking for
- You're willing and able to make helpful recommendations from the product range
- You're able to work a variety of shifts
- You're comfortable learning to use tills
- You're able to handle transactions accurately
- You can stay organised
- You can contribute positively in a busy, fast-paced store environment
- You'll be trained as a Keyholder
- You'll be able to open and close the store safely and securely
- You'll be able to complete cashing-up and other end-of-day procedures accurately
- You'll be able to take responsibility for the smooth running of the store when a manager isn't present
- You'll be able to support colleagues and respond to customer or operational issues
- You'll be able to follow store security, health and safety, and loss-prevention procedures
