Job Summary
Retail Sales Assistant at The Works in Shrewsbury, United Kingdom, on a 12-hour CONTRACT. Deliver friendly, knowledgeable service to customers, engage in conversations to understand shopping missions, and recommend products to spark creativity and joy. Maintain store standards including merchandising, cleanliness, stock replenishment, and safe cash handling with tills. Support deliveries and stockroom organization, follow health and safety and loss prevention procedures, and, where applicable as Keyholder, open/close the store and assist with cash handling and security. Work as part of a team to meet store targets and provide a welcoming, inclusive environment for customers and colleagues. The role emphasizes brand ambassador duties, customer service excellence, and contributing to an enjoyable in-store experience across The Works.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality role
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Comfortable using tills and handling cash
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible to work varied shifts
- Ability to work collaboratively and deliver friendly, knowledgeable service
- Experience with stock replenishment and merchandising
- Willingness to open/close store if Keyholder
- Ability to follow health & safety and loss prevention procedures
