Job Summary
Retail Sales Assistant and Keyholder role on an 8 hour contract. You will be the face of The Works on the shop floor, delivering friendly, knowledgeable service, helping customers discover products, suggesting gifts, and keeping the store well-stocked, tidy, safe, and welcoming. As a Brand Ambassador, you’ll engage customers, build conversations, and support team targets and KPIs. Keyholder responsibilities may include opening/closing the store, cash handling, and taking on additional supervisory duties when a manager isn’t in store, with an enhanced pay associated with those responsibilities. The role emphasizes customer service, merchandising, health & safety, loss prevention, and teamwork across store and distribution/central locations. Must be 18+ if taking on keyholder duties; experience in fast-paced environments and strong communication skills preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality role
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- For Keyholders: experience with store opening/closing and basic supervisory responsibilities
- Ability to deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service
- Comfortable using tills and handling cash
- Able to maintain store standards, merchandising, cleanliness, and stock replenishment
- Able to work varied shifts if required
