Job Summary
Process sales transactions, manage daily inventory including counts, sorting, merchandising, and restocking, and ensure the retail floor is prepared for guests. Handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while adhering to policies on cash handling, information security, and safety. Assist guests with transactions, questions, concerns, and direction during emergencies, utilizing customer service training to resolve issues and identify areas for improvement. Maintain a friendly demeanor and represent the museum with integrity. Requires open availability for three days a week including a weekend day and holiday shifts from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm. Hourly wage is $15.60.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- open availability for a minimum of three days a week, including one weekend day (Saturdays or Sundays)
- availability on holidays from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm
- Customer service experience in a high-volume environment
- Friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and handle stress in a fast-paced environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Team player with the ability to work under minimal supervision
- Flexibility to perform other tasks as needed
- Background clearance
- Drug screening as part of the Drug-Free Workplace Program
