Job Summary
Greet customers, make product recommendations, and upsell to drive sales while serving as an expert for the vendor/brand/area you represent. Act as a liaison between designated vendors, personal stylists, and store leadership to communicate customer needs and execute strategic merchandising initiatives. Ensure the sales floor is neat, clean, and properly signed for sales and markdowns, then create and implement best practices to drive sales, turn, and gross margin above company average. Actively plan, organize, and lead customer-facing vendor-sponsored events with the vendor community to increase sales and meet participation goals. Build brand-specific clientele to support local marketing and remain proficient in Macy's point of sale systems to wrap up sales. Work full-time (30+ hours) or part-time (12-24 hours) with flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year previous selling or retail experience required
- Must be comfortable with the use of computers, mobile devices, and frequent use of radio frequency equipment
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
- Must be able to lift 30lbs
- Must be able to stand for at least two consecutive hours
- Must be able to stoop, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
- Must have color vision
- Must be able to reach above eye level
- Must be able to process register transactions
- Must be able to use handheld equipment and cash register
