Job Summary
Ambassador drives sales by connecting with customers and sharing vendor product knowledge to upsell; serves as the vendor/brand expert, building a brand-specific clientele and coordinating vendor-supported events. Responsibilities include greeting customers, making product recommendations, upselling, coordinating with store leadership and vendors, maintaining a neat sales floor, executing merchandising initiatives, planning and leading vendor-sponsored events, and proficient use of Macy’s POS systems to complete sales in a warm, celebratory manner. The role requires excellent communication and relationship-building with customers and colleagues, and flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year previous selling or retail experience.
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must be comfortable with the use of computers, mobile devices, and radio frequency equipment.
