Job Summary
Greet customers, understand their needs, and educate them on product features using proper selling techniques and the GUEST service model. Transact sales through suggestive selling, correct measurements, and effective closing while maintaining a neat, organized, and well-stocked floor. Monitor merchandise for shrinkage and security violations, attach or detach tags, and follow safety regulations including proper lifting procedures. Ensure all items are labeled and price marked properly while solving customer problems and answering questions about promotions. Work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays, applying basic math skills and cash register functions in a team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Past retail experience
- Strong customer service and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to flourish in a team environment
- Ability to: lift 4 lbs. frequently; lift maximum 8 lbs. occasionally; kneel or squat frequently; move boxes of product up to 50 lbs (with assistance if necessary); stand for extended periods of time; climb ladders occasionally; climb and descend stairs frequently (depending on location)
