Job Summary
Assess customer needs, provide product knowledge, and conduct transactions with accuracy while utilizing suggestive selling strategies to upsell on promotions. Maintain the sales floor through stocking, labeling, and cleaning, then record POS transactions and manage opening and closing duties. Escalate issues to management as needed and fill in when short-staffed to remain cross-trained. Work 8- or 10-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced retail environment. Complete mandatory training through JARS University to ensure staff are educated on policies and culture.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in a retail, sales, and/or hospitality environment
- Acquired knowledge of cannabis strains and applications
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to operate a computer, POS system, and other office equipment
- Weekend availability required
- Ability to move up to 30 pounds on occasion
- No felony within the past 10 years for a controlled substance or distribution to minors
