Job Summary
Retail Representative at JARS Cannabis in MI handles customer service, product knowledge, upselling, POS transactions, and inventory tasks in a fast-paced cannabis retail environment. Responsibilities include assessing customer needs, providing product knowledge and promotions, upselling, processing transactions accurately with the POS system, maintaining cash drawer accuracy, performing opening/closing duties, adhering to safety and CRA policies, supporting loyalty programs, and cross-training as needed. Requires 21+ years old, a high school diploma or GED, and at least 2 years of customer service in retail/sales/hospitality; cannabis knowledge and/or health-industry experience is highly desirable. The role involves standing for extended periods, occasional lifting up to 30 pounds, varied hours including nights/weekends/holidays, and working in a dispensary setting with frequent customer and staff interactions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in a retail, sales, and/or hospitality environment
- Acquired knowledge of cannabis strains and applications
- Cannabis industry and/or health industry experience highly desirable
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Basic math skills required
