Job Summary
Assess customer needs, provide accurate product knowledge, and conduct transactions efficiently while utilizing suggestive selling strategies to upsell on products and promotions. Maintain sales floor cleanliness, organize inventory, and perform opening and closing duties as needed. Record transactions accurately in the POS system, manage cash drawers, and escalate customer issues to upper management when appropriate. Accept constructive criticism, fill in when short-staffed, and remain cross-trained for varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. This role requires prolonged standing, lifting up to 30 pounds, and adherence to safety and CRA rules within a fast-paced retail cannabis environment.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years customer service experience in a retail, sales, and/or hospitality environment
- Acquired knowledge of cannabis strains and applications
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to operate a computer, POS system, and other office equipment
- Weekend availability required
- Ability to move up to 30 pounds on occasion
- No felony within the past 10 years for a controlled substance or distribution to minors
