Job Summary
Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers by identifying needs and providing tailored financial solutions for everyday banking, retail investments, lending, and small business. Proactively engage prospects to complete needs assessments, generate appointments, and build new relationships within the community while recommending digital self-serve options. Support customer transactions, resolve issues from credit audits, and make sound credit recommendations for personal lending in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Apply the risk management framework to protect assets, identify suspicious activity related to money laundering, and adhere to established yield and diversification guidelines. Maintain current knowledge of the financial services marketplace and integrate marketing promotions into customer conversations. May work at multiple branches or through various channels based on market needs, with a schedule that may differ week to week.
Required Qualifications
- Typically between 2 - 3 years of relevant experience
- post-secondary degree in related field of study
- Registration to sell investment products completed - as appropriate for the jurisdiction
- Appropriate lending qualifications and designations
- Federal registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry
- U.S. Only: This position will act as an originator of consumer loans as defined by Regulation Z, Regulation G, and the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (the S.A.F.E. Act)
Desired Qualifications
- Canada only: Registration to sell investment products completed - as appropriate for the jurisdiction
- Experience in financial services is an asset
