Job Summary

Delivers exceptional service to BMO customers by identifying needs, providing financial solutions, and recommending tailored strategies for everyday banking, investments, lending, and home financing. Proactively engages with existing and new prospects to generate appointments, build relationships, and integrate marketing promotions into conversations. Supports customer transactions, resolves issues from credit audits, and identifies suspicious activity related to money laundering in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Applies the risk management framework to protect the bank's assets while making sound credit recommendations for personal lending transactions. Works collaboratively within the branch and market team, maintaining current knowledge of personal banking products and trends. May work at multiple branches or through various channels based on market needs, with a schedule that may differ week to week.

Required Qualifications

  • Typically between 2 - 3 years of relevant experience
  • post-secondary degree in related field of study
  • Registration to sell investment products completed - as appropriate for the jurisdiction
  • Appropriate lending qualifications and designations
  • Working knowledge of personal and small business customer needs and solutions
  • Working knowledge of retail investments and lending products
  • Experience in financial services
  • Experience in a consultative customer service or sales role
  • Confident and experienced in the use of social media, tablets, Smart phones, online tools, and applications
  • Passionate commitment to helping our customers

  • This position will act as an originator of consumer loans as defined by Regulation Z, Regulation G, and the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (the S.A.F.E. Act)
