Job Summary
Delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects, identifies customer needs and provides guidance on financial solutions across banking, lending, home financing (including business-for-self applications), and retail investments. Proactively engages customers to perform needs assessments, grows loyalty, and creates opportunities by generating appointments and building new relationships within the community. Collaborates with branch and market partners to deliver a personalized experience, offers advice on digital/self-serve options, and ensures accurate data entry and compliant lending recommendations while adhering to risk management frameworks. Works to understand customer personal banking and credit card needs, integrates marketing programs, and contributes to continuous improvement of the customer experience. May work at multiple branches or through various channels based on market needs; schedules may vary by week. Maintains knowledge of products, practices, and trends, and demonstrates strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills to achieve sales and service objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Typically between 2 - 3 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study desirable
- Canada: Registration to sell investment products completed - as appropriate for the jurisdiction
- Appropriate lending qualifications and designations
- Verbal & written communication skills
- Organization skills - Good
- Collaboration & team skills - Good
- Analytical and problem solving skills - Good
- Experience in a consultative customer service or sales role, with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience
