Job Summary

Delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying needs and providing advice on financial solutions. Proactively engages with existing customers and prospects to grow loyalty, complete needs assessments, and recommend tailored solutions for retail investments, lending, and small business needs. Supports customer transactions based on traffic, resolves issues from credit audits, and identifies suspicious activity related to money laundering. Makes credit recommendations for personal lending in accordance with sound principles and risk management frameworks while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Works collaboratively within the branch and through various channels to achieve business objectives, integrating marketing promotions into customer conversations. May work at multiple branches or through various channels based on market needs, with a schedule that may differ week to week.

Required Qualifications

  • Typically between 2 - 3 years of relevant experience
  • post-secondary degree in related field of study
  • Registration to sell investment products completed - as appropriate for the jurisdiction
  • Appropriate lending qualifications and designations
  • Working knowledge of personal and small business customer needs and solutions
  • Working knowledge of retail investments and lending products
  • Experience in financial services
  • Confident and experienced in the use of social media, tablets, Smart phones, online tools, and applications
  • Experience in a consultative customer service or sales role
