Job Summary
Maintain general ledger transactions, draft journal entries, and manage fixed asset ledgers in FAS software to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, CAM reconciliations, and exception reports while resolving discrepancies through vendor and tenant reconciliations. Assist with annual audits by compiling working papers and support the quarterly/annual forecast and budgeting process for property managers. Complete ad hoc projects related to emerging technical accounting requirements and regulatory filings, maintaining integrity across all statements. Requires a college diploma in accounting, 2+ years of experience, and knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS. Required Qualifications
- College Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Enrollment in an accounting designation course
- Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of MS Office applications
- General understanding of US GAAP and IFRS
- Career plan to obtain an Accounting Designation
- Yardi software
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Good analytical skills
- Good organizational skills
- Independent worker with the ability to self manage time
- Willing to work under pressure to meet deliverable deadlines
- Ability to be open minded and take on new responsibilities when deemed appropriate
