Job Summary
Assist licensed pharmacist with preparation and distribution of medications, including hazardous drugs and sterile IV admixtures; perform compounding per USP standards; assist with medication procurement, inventory, and documentation; screen and route calls, data entry, insurance verification, and cashiering; may perform immunizations under supervision; participate in training and quality initiatives; ensure compliance with organization policies and regulatory standards; develop competencies in billing and patient data systems; travel between pharmacy locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Registration or licensure with state board of pharmacy per state of employment requirements
- Certification by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) or National Healthcareer Association (ExCPT) within 18 months from start date, or sooner if in more stringent in state
