Job Summary
Provide courteous customer service and assist the Pharmacist in maintaining the pharmacy area, processing prescription orders, and filling medication orders while following HIPAA guidelines. Communicate with health care providers by reviewing patient records and answer phones to direct customers with OTC and front-end product inquiries. Complete sales on the POS system, process prescriptions using pharmacy software, and manage inventory to ensure accuracy of medication orders and labels. Maintain a clean, organized work environment and record medications and prescriptions. This role supports the pharmacist in dispensing medications and requires NJ pharmacy technician registration.
Required Qualifications
- NJ pharmacy technician registration
- Previous retail pharmacy experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Successful completion of background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid pharmacy technician license
- Knowledge of pharmacy software system
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Superior customer service
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
