Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician aids in compounding, dispensing, and charging medications under pharmacist supervision. Responsibilities include opening preparation, entering and filling prescriptions, cash handling, customer service, medication information requesting from the pharmacist, inventory management, audits, stock replenishment, HIPAA compliance, maintaining an organized workspace, supporting quality improvement, and assisting the pharmacy manager in implementing new programs. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, familiarity with medical terminology, and proficiency with computers, clerical and math tasks, time management, and strong communication and customer service skills. Physical duties include lifting, standing, and repetitive movements.
