Retail Pharmacist - PRN

Compounds and dispenses medications and pharmaceutical supplies upon receipt of written, electronic, or oral prescriptions. Oversees day-to-day activities of technical and clerical pharmacy staff, serving as manager on duty when the manager is absent. Manages complex drug therapies for Specialty Medication and Transplant patients while providing drug information and patient education to physicians, patients, and healthcare workers. Reviews, interprets, and clarifies prescriptions for accuracy; provides immunizations and medication therapy management. Actively participates in planning new projects and assists in developing or updating departmental policies and procedures. Maintains professional knowledge, ensures licensures and certifications remain current, and adapts communication styles to specific patient populations. Remains knowledgeable on federal, state, and local laws to ensure compliance with all regulations and standards.
