Job Summary
Accurately dispense medications with proper labeling and dosage instructions while providing comprehensive patient counseling on side effects and adherence. Conduct medication therapy management reviews to optimize therapy and support chronic disease patients through lifestyle education. Administer immunizations in compliance with state regulations and oversee pharmacy inventory to ensure accurate stock levels. Partner with the clinical team to deliver optimal pharmaceutical care and ensure operations meet federal, state, and clinic standards. Monitor pharmacy performance metrics to optimize 340B program benefits. Maintain full-time on-site presence at the The Dalles Clinic location.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited college of pharmacy
- Active and unrestricted Oregon Pharmacist License (or ability to obtain within 45 days of hire)
- At least one year of experience in a retail pharmacy setting
- Prior experience with the 340B Drug Pricing Program
- Comprehensive clinical knowledge and attention to detail
- Strong passion for patient education and medication management
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software systems
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and mentorship skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a diverse healthcare team
- Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and workplace safety
- Capacity to adapt and thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Active pharmacist immunization certification
- Experience in chronic disease management and Medication Therapy Management (MTM)
- Previous experience in a community or migrant health center (FQHC) or similar healthcare setting
- Proficiency with EPIC Willow Ambulatory or similar pharmacy management systems
- Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties Certification (BCACP or BCPS)
