Job Summary
Conduct compliant customer and patient transactions, answer product questions, and recommend cannabis strains while maintaining strict state regulatory adherence. Assist with escalated customer issues, manage cash registers, and perform parking lot sweeps. Maintain store cleanliness by removing trash, sweeping floors, and cleaning glass fixtures. Build online orders during downtime and access patient records with confidentiality. This role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 30 pounds, and working evenings, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, pass a background check, and possess strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in retail or a cannabis-related field
- Strong knowledge of cannabis products, including strains, consumption methods, and effects
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of customers
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash and register transactions
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must be able to stand for extended periods during shifts
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to bend, squat, and reach to access products from low and high shelves
- Ability to handle products, cash, and operate the POS system with precision
- Must be able to move throughout the dispensary to assist customers and maintain the store's appearance
- Must be able to clearly see product details, labels, and transaction information
- Must be able to hear customer questions and concerns in a busy retail environment
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment, especially during busy hours, and maintain focus throughout shifts
