Job Summary
Plan, coordinate, and facilitate Michaels store events including kids birthday parties and other craft classes; demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects; perform face painting and other activities; facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons; communicate events with clients and store team members; assist customers in shopping and locating products and enrolling in rewards programs; participate in Omni channel processes (BOPIS and Ship From Store); participate in truck unload, stocking, planogram, and store recovery tasks; maintain cleanliness and safety standards and support store operations and event execution from setup to teardown; interact with guests of all ages with energy and creativity, while upholding the company’s standards and policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must have experience working with children and children’s events
- Must have good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication
- Must have excellent people skills
- Must have organizational and creative problem-solving skills
- Retail and/or customer service experience required
