Retail Party and Event Host

Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events (including kids birthday parties) within a Michaels store to provide an engaging guest experience. Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout. Perform operational tasks such as truck unload, merchandise duties, and maintaining store standards. Coordinate multiple events, engage guests of all ages, teach and assist with craft activities including face painting, and manage event add-ons like goody bags and balloons. Communicate with clients and store teammates; adjust plans based on feedback; create backup/emergency plans; ensure client satisfaction and safety standards. Support omnichannel processes (Buy Online Pickup in Store, Ship From Store) and participate in store cleanliness, stock/planogram tasks, and program compliance. Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling/production and adhere to SOPs. Requires strong people skills, experience with children’s events, organizational and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to stay positive in a public retail environment.
