Retail Parts Puller (WEEKENDS A MUST)

Job Summary

Work directly with the Sales team to prioritize and fulfill customer part requests by locating and retrieving automotive parts accurately and efficiently. Pull work orders, verify part accuracy, and use hand and power tools to remove parts from vehicles safely, including transmissions and engines. Package, tag, and label parts for delivery or customer pickup while completing required paperwork and documentation. Safely maneuver throughout the yard or warehouse, maintaining cleanliness and adhering to all safety policies and PPE requirements. Weekend and holiday availability is mandatory. This role supports Pick Your Part's mission of delivering excellent customer service and ensuring parts are handled in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.

Required Qualifications

  • WEEKENDS/HOLIDAY AVAILABILITY A MUST
  • MUST BE ABLE TO PULL PARTS IN THE RETAIL YARD INCLUDING TRANSMISSIONS AND ENGINES
  • Working knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle systems
  • Ability to identify vehicle makes, models, and parts
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and equipment required to remove automotive parts
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment while maintaining accuracy
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow directions, work independently, and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to complete basic paperwork and maintain simple records
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
  • On occasion, employees may be required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • Work may involve exposure to hazardous situations, extreme temperatures, loud noise levels, and moving equipment
  • Employees may work in cramped spaces, underneath vehicles, or in awkward positions while removing parts
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required regularly
  • Travel may occasionally be required based on business needs

Desired Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous automotive, salvage yard, or parts pulling experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred
