Job Summary
Retail Parts Pro is a professional-level sales role focused on advanced automotive parts knowledge, DIY customer assistance, and sophisticated store operations. Responsibilities include facilitating selling experiences for DIY customers, achieving sales and service objectives, managing DIY services (battery installation, testing, wiper installs), maintaining store appearance and safety, and performing key holder duties (opening/closing, task assignment). Secondary duties cover inventory processes (cycle counts, back stock, truck put away), cleaning, and general parts sourcing. The role requires working knowledge of automotive systems, proficiency with store and inventory systems, POS and parts lookup tools, and strong communication to build relationships with customers and teammates. English fluency is required, with Spanish a plus; duties also include reading and interpreting safety and maintenance documents and completing a Parts Knowledge Assessment. The position is full-time and employed by Advance Auto Parts, with a focus on safety, quality, and customer service across shopping, service, and technical support for DIY customers.
