Job Summary
Retail Parts Pro role is a professional-level sales position focused on supporting advanced DIY automotive services and parts identification. Responsibilities include facilitating selling experiences for DIY customers, achieving personal/store sales goals, managing DIY services (battery installation, testing, wiper installs), maintaining store appearance, and performing key holder duties (opening/closing, task delegation, safety). Secondary duties cover inventory processes (cycle counts, back stock, truck put away), stock upkeep, and providing advanced parts sourcing and diagnostics using store systems. Candidates should have 3-5 years of automotive parts experience, be able to read and interpret safety and instruction documents, and communicate effectively in English (Spanish a plus). A valid drivers license is required; ASE certification is preferred but not required. Proficiency with POS and parts lookup systems, and strong selling skills for DIY customers are essential. The role requires attention to safety, customer service, and strong organizational abilities, with flexibility to work varied days and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of prior automotive parts experience
- valid drivers license
- ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals; ability to write simple correspondence
- Speak and write English; Spanish a plus
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience using POS and parts lookup systems
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
