Job Summary
Retail Parts Pro is a professional-level sales position focused on advanced DIY automotive services and parts sourcing. The role requires expert knowledge of store systems, automotive parts, and diagnostic/testing equipment, with responsibilities including facilitating the DIY customer selling experience, achieving sales and service objectives, managing DIY services (battery installation, testing, wiper installs), maintaining store appearance and safety standards, and performing key-holder duties (opening/closing, task assignments). Secondary duties include assisting with inventory processes (truck put-away, cycle counts, back stock) and ensuring overall cleanliness. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of automotive parts experience, strong parts knowledge, the ability to operate inventory and POS systems, and strong communication with customers and teammates; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- ASE certification preferred, but not required
- 3-5 years of prior automotive parts experience
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret documents (safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs)
- Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work a variety of days/evenings/weekends
