Job Summary
Retail Parts Pro is a professional-level sales role focusing on DIY automotive parts, with expert knowledge of store systems, parts identification, troubleshooting, and sourcing from multiple channels (special order, FDO, second source). Responsibilities include facilitating a selling experience for DIY customers via in-person and phone interactions, achieving personal/store sales goals, managing DIY services such as battery installation and wiper installations, maintaining store appearance, and performing key-holder duties (opening/closing, task assignment). Secondary duties cover inventory processes (truck put away, cycle counts, back stock), store cleanliness, and ongoing DIY service support. Required skills include strong communication, inventory systems proficiency, parts lookup and sourcing, diagnostic equipment operation, advanced selling and product recommendation abilities, and reading comprehension of safety rules and manuals. Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel, basic math, and the ability to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends are expected. Education/Certificates: valid driver's license; ASE certification preferred but not required.
