Job Summary
Retail Parts Pro provides expert automotive parts knowledge to DIY customers, handling advanced store systems and part sourcing from multiple channels. Responsibilities include facilitating selling experiences for in-store and phone interactions, achieving personal and store sales goals, managing DIY services such as battery installation and wiper installs, maintaining high customer service and store appearance standards, and performing key holder duties (task assignment, safety, opening/closing). Secondary duties cover inventory processes (truck put away, cycle counts, back stock), store cleaning, and continuing DIY service support. Required skills include automotive systems knowledge, diagnostic aptitude, proficiency with inventory and POS systems, parts lookup proficiency, strong communication in English (Spanish a plus), and the ability to operate Microsoft Word/Excel and basic math for transactions. The role necessitates flexibility to work varying days, evenings, and weekends. Experience with safety rules and documentation interpretation, plus the ability to read parts catalogs and write simple correspondence, are essential for success.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of prior automotive parts experience
- Must have a valid driver's license
- ASE certification preferred, but not required
