Job Summary
Retail Parts Pro is a professional-level sales role focused on supporting advanced DIY automotive services. Responsibilities include facilitating the selling experience for DIY customers, achieving personal and store sales goals, managing DIY services (battery installation, testing, wiper installs), maintaining store appearance and safety, and fulfilling key holder duties (opening/closing, task assignment). Secondary duties include assisting with inventory processes (truck put away, cycle counts, back stock) and maintaining cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, parking lot). Required/desired skills include strong communication, ability to locate and stock parts, knowledge of automotive systems, operating POS and parts lookup systems, proficiency with diagnostic/testing equipment, and advanced selling and sourcing capabilities. Must read and interpret documents, be proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel, and be able to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends. ASE certification is preferred but not required; a valid driver’s license is required.
