Job Summary
Retail Parts Pro at Advance Auto Parts — a full-time, professional-level sales role with expert knowledge of store systems, advanced automotive and parts knowledge, and the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and assist with DIY projects. Responsibilities include providing GAS2 selling experiences for DIY customers, achieving sales and service goals, managing DIY services (battery installation/testing, wiper installs, etc.), maintaining store appearance and safety, and performing key holder duties (open/close, task assignment). Secondary duties cover inventory processes (truck put away, cycle counts, back stock), store cleanliness, and continued DIY service support. Requires strong product and parts lookup skills, proficiency with inventory and POS systems, and the ability to read and interpret documents, perform basic math, and communicate effectively. English required; Spanish a plus. ASE P2 certification or readiness is preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license. Able to work various days, evenings, and weekends. Prior automotive parts experience and strong sales ability are essential; ASE certification is preferred but not required.
