Job Summary
Retail Parts Pro is a professional-level sales role focused on advanced automotive-diy parts expertise, with responsibilities including facilitating DIY customer visits and phone sales, meeting sales/service goals, managing DIY services (battery installation/testing, wiper installs), maintaining store appearance and safety, and performing key holder duties. The role also supports inventory processes (truck put-away, cycle counts, back stock), performs stocking and housekeeping tasks, and provides advanced parts sourcing, diagnostics, and product quality recommendations. Required skills include working knowledge of automotive systems, ability to read safety and parts-related documents, strong customer communication, English proficiency (Spanish a plus), and proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS/parts lookup systems; ASE certification is preferred. Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- 3-5 years of prior automotive parts experience
- ASE certification preferred, but not required
- Strong communication skills; English required, Spanish a plus
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; able to operate POS and parts lookup systems
- Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Ability to locate and stock parts; knowledge of automotive systems including engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust
