Job Summary
Professional level sales role enabling advanced identification, trouble shooting, and project assistance for the DIY automotive customer base. Responsibilities include facilitating the selling experience for DIY customers via in-store visits and phone calls; achieving personal/store sales goals; managing DIY services such as battery installation, testing, and wiper installations; maintaining high standards of customer service and store appearance; performing key holder duties (task assignment, opening/closing); assisting in inventory processes (truck put away, cycle counts, back stock) and store cleanliness; leveraging advanced knowledge of automotive systems and parts lookup to source from multiple channels; using POS and inventory systems; operating diagnostic and testing equipment; and providing expert product recommendations. Requirements include 3-5 years of automotive parts experience, valid driver's license, strong communication skills (English; Spanish a plus), ability to read/interpret safety and maintenance documents, and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. ASE certification is preferred but not required.
